Howard Carleton Browne (1908-1999) was an American writer and editor. A prolific contributor during the pulp era of the 1940s and 1950s, Browne wrote fantasy, science fiction, and adventures, occasionally under pseudonyms like Ivar Jorgensen and Alexander Blade. He edited AMAZING STORIES and FANTASTIC ADVENTURES magazines in the 1950s.
