I have the highest regard and utmost respect for those people who devote their lives to helping, loving, caring for, and supporting others as a life's work! Anyone whose personal religious or philosophical beliefs lead them to be loving, gentle, compassionate, polite, non-judgmental, pacifistic human beings, who DO NOT seek to impose their beliefs on others (though on the surface it might seem like a great idea), are what my idea of a “good person” is. Separation of church and state, along with the hypocrisy of many politicians and religious leaders, is what led me to write this series of commentaries on religion in the United States. This book is dedicated to all people who follow this creed: Every human being has the right to do, think, or say anything that he or she chooses so long as it doesn't interfere with or denigrate another person's rights or beliefs.
