The Vampire Vasques

In the book The Vampire Vasques six college friends attempt to cover up the death of one of the friends dates. Instead of calling the police and reporting the death, they bury the body.
Years later, one by one, the friends begin to die from what appears to be animal attacks. Two of the friends discover that when the boy’s date died, her father swore vengeance on whoever had part in her death and after his death returned as a beast following the oath he swore.

FROM THE BOOK:

Eric noticed Brad staggering back from the house. He came around to the driver’s side window holding onto the car. “You’re not going to like what’s in there,” strained Brad as he leaned onto the car.
Eric reached into the glove compartment and grabbed a flashlight. He got out of the car and walked quickly to the house. Before he got to the door, he smelled a horrible odor. He pulled his handkerchief from his pocket and held it over his face. The sound of flies was deafening. He walked through the front door and shined the light around inside. It appeared there was something on the walls, some sort of paint. He flashed the light around the doors but could see no light switch. He pointed the light toward the ceiling and saw a pull cord. He jerked the cord and the light came on. What he had thought was paint on the wall was smeared blood. The walls were covered. On the floor and on the table were rotting pieces of meat. Pieces of what he assumed was Richard Barnes.
