Sr.Josefa had visions of Jesus and Hell and was given messages for the world. The Lord said to Sister Josefa: "You yourself shall be My sign." And "....... I will reveal to you the burning secrets of My Heart and many souls will profit by them. I want you to write down and keep all I tell you..........It is My intention to show souls that I never refuse grace, even to those who are guilty of grave sin........ I will grant many souls special graces of conversion and enlightenment........" In 1923, not long before her death Josepa was given a vision of Hell ..... I saw a great many Priests, religious and nuns,cursing their vows, their order, their Superiors and everything that could have given them the light and the grace they had lost..... I saw souls falling into Hell, and among them was a child of perhaps fifteen, cursing her parents for not having taught her to fear God nor that there was a Hell. Her life had been a short one, she cried out, but full of sin. Although quiet and meek Josefa showed an unconquerable strength of will, which was all a sign of God's choice. Born in Spain in 1890 she had a desire to become a nun from an early age. Josefa applied to a number of Spanish convents, but was rejected. However, after suffering many trials she was eventually accepted by a French convent, The Society of the Sacred Heart, and eventually became a Coadjutrix Sister. Her Superiors had rarely encountered one more eager to serve, sacrifice herself and be obedient, which was finally the best guarantee that her visions truly were of divine origin. Jesus selected Josefa {also sometimes spelled Josepha} to suffer much for the conversion of sinners. Outwardly there appeared to be nothing extraordinary about her Spanish, but being in a French Convent, problems with the French language, she liked to retire and be alone, as we now know, to be with God. Finally she did take her vows in 1919, but was a Sister for only four years before she died at age 33 in 1923. Remaining a novice for so long she was often assigned the more menial tasks in the convent and wore an apron, which she continued to wear throughout her days and is often used as a symbol for her. Josefa's life at the convent was just that of an ordinary novice and nun, she carried out her daily chores with humility and grace and even her other nuns did not know of the enormous Graces, which God was bestowing on her.
