This is Modern Art was commissioned by Steppenwolf Theater for Young Audiences. It was developed at New Voices/ New Visions at The Kennedy Center in 2014.
Because the play was extremely well received, theatre companies around the country are looking to stage it.
The book is part of a deeper collaboration with Kevin Coval whose audience continues to grow with his poetry and the increasing popularity of Louder Than a Bomb the youth poetry slam he founded. LTAB is now in more than ten cities.
