The kids are back! With their enigmatic friend Alice having flown the coop to keep them safe from her mysterious past, the band hits the road to find her and maybe melt some faces while they're at it. The tour goes south pretty quickly, and the band goes from getting booed off-stage by drunken rednecks to running out of gas to just getting on each other's nerves.

It hits the fan once the band is separated and unwilling whisked away to San Francisco. There, they meet up with Joey's childhood friend Whitney Locke and learn that the city has been overthrown and subjugated by a hostile government bent on suppressing all forms of artistic freedom. Crazy as it sounds (and it sounds pretty freakin' crazy), the Divide break out their special brand of rebellion and pledge to take the Golden Gate City back in the best way they know.

But as the Divide comes into conflict with the black metal band Matricide, the one thing any of them can guarantee is that things aren't going to go the way they think.

Also there's aliens.
