I first started writing poetry after my first wife Myra died. The title and first poem in the book shows how I felt at the time and sometimes still do. I hope the readers in similar situations will draw comfort from these words of mine.

The older dated entries from 1908, are from an autograph book that belonged to Elsie a good friend, also sadly now passed away. I would like to hear from anyone who knows about these older entries.

There are some comic entries, but I have no idea why these poems flashed into my head. Please read and enjoy.
