Why are there so many religions in the world? All religions claim that they are the true one. Atheists also say that about their form of belief, and thus many belittle those who chose a faith different than theirs. If you were to evaluate the religions of the world what criteria would you use to judge them to determine which one is right? It is imperative that you get that right, for your eternity depends on it. Since God devised salvation for errant man, it makes sense that he does not hide its truth from us.

If religion is really of God rather than just an expression of man’s fears of how to explain the unexplainable or unknown in life, then you must look at the book that claims to be each religion’s source of authority. Which one has a truly heavenly “tone” to it? Which one stands out as being different yet down to earth? If God is the creator of mankind and gave us our abilities, then certainly He knows how to effectively communicate truth with us.

This book starts with one of the reasons many religions have started. Man looks for a way to deal with his fear, the need of forgiveness, the acceptance by God and to find a purpose that goes beyond this life.

When I look at the religions of the world, I find them lacking when it comes to making a person right with God and preparing a person for heaven. Most of the religions of the world are a rehash of the same old thing. Christianity is absolutely unique in its holy book we call the Bible, in the view of man, in the means of salvation and the relationship it offers to mankind with God and the way it changes people for the better. To show this difference I take you to a town called Salvation and show you in a unique manner the beliefs of some of the major religions of the world and then spend time looking at the means of salvation talked about in the Bible. You make your own decision, but make sure you choose wisely.

I close the book with a detailed account of the biblical view of salvation to help you understand it so you can make a decision to follow Christ if that is your choice. This is done in the unique setting of going into God’s Gift Shoppe and making the right “faith purchases”.
