“A part of life may be in death. The death of a friend, the death of a relative. The death of a relationship.”
“But there may also be life.”
Love is an unbreakable bond with infinite struggles. It has the power to overcome all things for love also serves all things whether of pure intentions or not. A man may love his wife as a thief may love to steal.
Flashbacks, dreams, and nightmares move the action of my characters. Multiple themes are symbolically related.
An unwed mother of a two year old son BRIDGET PEMBROKE journeys to another part of the state to tell her ex boyfriend JEFF THOMPSON of the news of their son. She hid the news of her pregnancy from by breaking up with him shortly before staying with an aunt in London.
Jeff loses his parents in a train accident a couple of months after his breakup and his sister is murdered soon after this. With no one to turn to Jeff leaves home to reestablish himself in another part of the state where he is unknown and can deal with his recent losses without interference.
Bridget comes back from London and after learning of the death of his family decides to find Jeff. Nearly two years go by before she is able to find him. What she finds is not the man she loves but a lonely man suffering.
In an attempt to make it to his favorite café on time while on a walk with Bridget Jeff breaks off into a dead sprint leaving her behind. Not knowing her surroundings as well Bridget comes to a crime ridden neighborhood in which she is kidnapped by MIKE and his gang.
Jeff looks back for Bridget and also in the direction of his café in which his time to get there is fastly diminishing. Paralyzed in thought of if he should find Bridget or break his set schedule he passes out and is hospitalized.
While in the hospital Jeff is lead to an older man, EMMETT, who helps him overcome his Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and severe depression.
Emmett helps Jeff find his love for Bridget once more as he relates the story of how he found the love of his life Bridget attempts to escape and is punished severely. She has been held for ransom and her jailor and his crew plan on killing her once her parent’s money has been safely secured.
With time running out for her life Emmett warns Jeff of her danger and tells of a friend who will guide him to her.
“Soon a friend of mine will guide you. You’ve seen him before. Both of you have.”
“I’m not sure I understand what you’re talking about.”
“You won’t until the time comes. The rain clouds will roll away and you will see.”
“Rain clouds? Forecast said nothing about that.”
The old man smiles. In his smile Jeff finds peace and understanding.
The friend the older man symbolically refers to is an owl that guides Jeff to Bridget once Jeff breaks out of the hospital he’s been in for over a month.
Greed becomes more than her jailors can bear and they attempt to kill one another off. The leader of the crew is murdered by his right hand man. After dumping his boss’s body Devon decides to kill Bridget as well.
Jeff enters Mike’s house just in time to fight with Devon. Eventually with the help of Bridget Devon is overtaken but not before injuring Jeff.
The worn out Bridget and Jeff return to the hospital as Emmett dies. Both recover and their love for one another is renewed.
TRAPPED shows the hardships of a relationship and symbolically proves what each will endure for the other.
