This book reflects the practical experience in Marriage and Parenting obtained through what a friend of mine calls the “University of Life”. It is throughout the perspective of this experience of almost forty years of marriage and six children, that I intend to show what we did wrong, what we did right, how to avoid what we did wrong and why as a result of the former you can reach fulfillment or happiness.

The idea is to help you decide if you are ready for marriage and how to prepare for it, assist you in surviving the shoals and reefs in marriage itself and show you how to raise your children to be assertive adults, loving and caring human beings, and men and women certain of themselves and their beliefs.

I decided to write this book because marriage and  parenthood are never specifically taught during our formation and didn’t want my children to marry and raise children without the knowledge and at least this basic guide to help them along.

If but one son, one daughter, one husband, one wife, one day…mentions this book helped them start off or benefited their marriage, showed them the road to healthy parenting or allowed them to reach some level of happiness in the process, the effort will have been worthwhile.
