I have been inspired to write these verses because I feel that modern society is losing touch, and interest, in three of the most important factors within our existence, God, nature and history, and so I have attempted to reflect these within my words.
When I was a child I was totally bored with all the historical data I had to learn and so I discovered a more colourful way to incorporate it, through verse, which I was able to memorise with not too much difficulty.
As I live in such a beautiful part of the country I have based many of my verses on my experiences and the spoken word I was blessed to obtain in the village of Bredwardine in Herefordshire, England, where I lived on top of the hill. To the people who know it there is no other place on earth which makes you feel so elated and isolated from the troubles of the world.
I am dedicating this book to the memory of my parents with whom I had many wonderful years, my family for their love and support, and the residents of Bredwardine past and present, without whom I would have not acquired the inspiration.
I hope you have as much enjoyment reading it as I have had in composing it.
