Jordan Kiefer is a good looking loner, a computer nerd who joins the Army just after 9/11 to become a UAV pilot. He learns to live with the strain of spending hours remotely piloting his UAV, watching people fight and die via video screen. As his service continues, he meets women but makes only temporary sexual connections until he is diagnosed with PTSD and leaves the Army.
