This is a collection of 7 of my short stories. The Cat in the case of the Hangman’s Noose: Rochester is called in to assist the inspector in a baffling case of suspected suicides or possible murders. The only clue all the cases had in common was the appearance of a mysterious black cat on their doorstep shortly before they were found hung to death in their homes. The Despised: Unable to bear the torment of a thankless job or a hideous task master for an employer Nathan devises a plan to free himself. A murder that is what is needed. A murder most foul, His plan was flawless in its perfection. Or was it? The Statue: Feeling sorry for himself at not having as much as he felt he deserved in life. A summons by his friend to come visit him in his mansion was a welcome diversion. It was clear to him his friend was not sound of mind when he claimed there was something hiding in the shadows waiting for a chance to take his life in revenge. The Great Beast of Harkford Forest: Richard had never given much thought to the myths and legends surrounding the Great Beast said to be hiding deep within the forest. That is until the last one to go missing after claiming he was going to make a name for himself by bringing back the head of the beast was a close friend. Richard vowed to put an end to this once and for all. He vowed he would prove the beast was no more than a rogue animal. No Time to Say Goodbye to Me: This is a Ballard written centering on a man who is questioning his life. It utilizes the emotions as main characters as seen through his eyes. He receives news he is not prepared for which sends him on a journey into the center of his soul. My Soul to Take: A group of teenage kids decided to take a dare and venture into a graveyard on Halloween night. The others are expecting them and welcome their arrival. It is a party at the strike of midnight they will not soon forget. The Cat in: The Case of the Missing Heiress: A young woman seeks to assistance of Rochester and his colleague only days before her eighteenth birthday. A mystery unravels as they search for clues as to how the other women living in the castle all disappeared from behind locked doors, and all on or just before their eighteenth birthday. Bishop is hard at work trying to direct his human companions to the vital clues they need to solve the case before it is to late.
