Marcus Conall has been with the Brotherhood for more than a handful of decades, so when he learns that the woman he met that night on the streets might be the Slayer, he knows just what to do. With lives at stake the Brotherhood infiltrates the system, again, to bring Aradia to their stronghold, and if necessary, to their Justice. Yet, when he is near her, he finds there is little room for anything but desire.
With the tension building between them, can he look past the heat and see her for what she is? And if not, if his hunger takes control, will she use him to escape?
Excerpt:
His green eyes locked on her brown, and for a moment he didn't breathe.
Hesitantly he ran a finger across her arm, slow and delicate, waiting for her to object. She didn't, and her breath came quicker. He watched her chest rise and fall, her full breasts straining against the blue material. She licked her lips and then watched his finger as it moved over her arm. Such a casual motion; it should not have been as intimate as it was.
Breathing deep he tried to ignore the swollen erection pushing against his jeans. The energy between them was forceful, pulling him toward her like gravity. Vibrating beneath his skin, it heightened all his senses.
He wanted her, and she wanted him, and if he had to figure out magical bonds later then so be it.
