Sir William M. Ramsay was the famous Scottish scholar renowned for his work on the New Testament and Asia Minor. He travelled extensively through the lands of the Bible and was regarded as the foremost New Testament scholar of his day. For his work and travels he received 9 honorary doctorates, was knighted, as well as the Victorian Medal of the Royal Geographic Society in 1906.
