All proceeds help vulneerable children and distressed families.
Born to an unwed, teenage mother, his childhood of poverty, neglect and unspeakable abuse included more than 35 homes before his unlikely graduation from high school. Today, as CEO of Patrick Henry Family Services, Robert Day's life work is dedicated to keeping children safe and families strong. 'Worst of Mothers...Best of Moms', is a moving and inspirational story of hope and restoration, and provides a new perspective on the sovereignty of God.
"The account of my childhood is presented here only in the earnest desire that those I am called to serve might have better outcomes. The point of this book is to inspire involvement of others, to rally those who are like-minded, and to move the work of rescuing children forward. The foundation of this project is to spark a movement that somehow changes the life stories of thousands, maybe even tens-of-thousands, of vulnerable children and distressed families. Hopefully, it will also encourage those already in the fight to renew their efforts. It is my sincerest hope to see the church awakened to its special calling to "suffer not the children" and to once again practice a "pure and undefiled religion." - Robert J. Day.
