Written Portraits 2012, a writing competition for Australian 13 to 18 year olds, started as a thought, a simple idea and evolved into this delightful anthology showcasing the writing of some of Australia’s most talented young writers.

Join us on a journey through the eyes of a teenager and be transported through their stories visiting moments of darkness, sadness, fear, as well as celebration, triumph and happiness. You will find yourself transported to far away worlds, or looking at Australia through different eyes. You will experience the journeys characters make, sniff like a dog, join in kicking down a door and puzzle over Poirot creating a Facebook profile. The range of stores is as diverse as the young people who entered the competition themselves, and there is something for everyone in this anthology.
