Dr. Driver is an experienced academic scholar, retired naval officer, entrepreneur, trainer, evangelist, and consultant. He holds a PhD in administration and management from Walden University and a doctorate of ministry (DMin) from Trinity Theological Seminary. His commitment to training church leadership has led him to write books and produce courses that will help improve church administration and management. Dr. Driver is president and founder of Tommy Lee Driver Ministries (TLDM), senior consultant and coach for Panther Professional Services, and a graduate and doctoral professor developing and teaching courses on management, ethics, leadership, finance, process improvement, health-care administration, and business administration.
In the church, lay ministers are actively involved in more than half of all church ministries. Yet lay ministers may not have been adequately trained by their own local church leadership to fulfill their ministry obligations. Ministries such as children’s church, Sunday school, care groups, assimilation, and evangelism, to name a few, are led and managed by lay ministers. Most lay ministers are not Bible college or seminary trained. This book is written to help educate lay ministers on how to learn and incorporate the seven important keys to ministering effectively in their local church.
