Get ready to be given a lesson in preparedness! What happens when you go before a group of people unprepared? Trust me, it's not pretty, and this skit will show you every ugly angle. Two people have agreed to sing a song for their church congregation during a service, but they haven't practiced...at all. Enter the narrator, who will present every possible outcome of this performance. How does each person sound, together and separately? How does the piano sound, with and without singing? And, how would they sound if they had practiced? You'll be able to hear just how much better things can be if you'll only take the time to rehearse. This is a very funny skit, with the two singers alternating between singing well, singing poorly, and singing silently while the other sings. Throw in playing the piano well, playing poorly, and pantomiming while one or the other sings well or awful, and you have a skit that will definitely keep the audience's attention (And keep the actors on their toes!). It gives a good lesson, especially if what you should be rehearsing is something for the Lord. This skit, along with a good hymn or gospel song, can really give a powerful message to any church member. Be warned, though, this skit can be a little complicated (that's what makes it fun), so it should be rehearsed. After all, that's what the skit is all about.
