This book was originally written to be a weekly encouragement to my fellow study buddies in the Fairhope, Alabama Community Bible Study class. It was sent via email each Friday morning. Psalm Ninety-One is Holy Scripture and each word, each verse, and each thought is loaded with eternal significance, nourishment and messages that each of us needs. In some verses you will be introduced to a Hebrew word. There is such meaning and depth in the Lord’s language that is lost in translation. A few of these insights are shared with the hope that your love will grow deeper for The Author and His Word. There are questions at the end of each section called Reflections. These can be used for discussion should this book be used in a small group for a Bible study. The questions tend to be more introspective for personal evaluation, however can also be the springboard that will encourage lively discussion and fellowship, as well as strengthen the believer’s faith. Though this work is scholarly, it is not academic. It is designed for you to experience a deeper understanding of Scripture as well as a more intimate relationship with the Lord. I encourage you to dig deeper, do more research, read commentaries, do word studies and connect the phrases to other places they are used in the Bible. Scripture will come alive as the truth resonates in your soul. There is no end to the depths of God’s Word for the one who is willing to plunge in.
