The Fox family had more their fair share of sickness and suffering. So when their liberal Pastor shared his experience of witnessing God’s power to heal at a Charles Price meeting in 1923, the family were persuaded to go.
First Lorne’s father was prayed for and healed of gallstones and a hernia, and subsequently lived to be 92. Next was his sister whose poor vision was healed, her tuberculosis disappeared, and a leg which had been six inches shorter than the other was also lengthened! Then Lorne himself He was dramatically healed within moments. He had formerly had 19 heart attacks and was 90 per cent helpless. Nine doctors had dismissed his case as hopeless, but God touched him
For many years thereafter, Fox assisted Dr Price and conducted his own healing ministry worldwide. Inspired by Price, Fox began to give his testimony and hold evangelistic meetings. In 1947 he saw the rise of the Healing Revival and began to hold meetings on the West coast, He started his own magazine called "The Healing Word". He became associated with the "Voice of Healing" and spoke at several of the meetings led by William Branham. He eventually travelled worldwide His ministry in Africa from 1959-1963 was especially friuitful, where he saw thousands come to Christ and receive physical healing.
