Though Gordon Lindsay was never in the same league as the more prominent healing evangelists he employed his unique gifts to bring stability, cohesion and unity to the multi-facetted healing movement. His orderly mind, keen business sense, sharp literary skills and an ecumenical spirit conspired together to maintain the movement’s integrity, coordination and growth. His first-hand experience as an itinerant evangelist in the 1930’s gave him an understanding of both itinerant ministry and local church leadership, providing great wisdom as the healing movement spread.
He really was the unique catalyst of all the healing ministries and had a better understanding of the behind-the-scenes dynamics behind the success of the healing evangelists' ministries - which is why he wrote so much about prayer.
This book is the first of two volumes setting out the biblical basis of prayer for the advance of God's Kingdom on earth. In the Foreword Lindsay writes: "The following is a series of lessons on prayer which will show you how to tap the resources of infinite power — power which can change the course of your life. These lessons reveal the secrets of men of God in past ages, down to our present day, who overcame all hindrances, and whose prayers have made history and helped to change the world of their generation."
