A series of the works of the poet of Anastasia Volnaya dedicated to pictures of artists. Poetic illustrations to pictures, as modern writers, and to pictures of classics. The images which are given rise by Anastasia Volnaya allow to look in a new way at the known pictures, to see them from a different angle sight, to feel and understand in a different way. And maybe, to see something special what authors of pictures didn't think of, but that the poet has noticed and has allowed to look at them differently. (from here and the name of the book – other version – a special look).

Originally all texts are written in Russian, the translation which hasn't lost the feelings and images put by the poet in the works is executed. Perhaps, rhythmics of verses, sounding is changed, but all the rest is transferred without distortions.

The selection of poems presented here was created in different years. The earliest were born in 1989, the last in 2004.

In the book reproductions of classical pictures which became general property are used and transferred to the category public and freely extended.

Pictures of contemporaries are presented by three authors, this is Maxim Zheltov, Terentiy Travnik and Nadezhda Voronova. All of them have granted the right for the publication of the works in this book.
