Black Footsteps is a story that follows John Corey, a young black male who is trying to find his place in life. Being a young black male in America is tough, and John experiences this as he starts his journey to find his path in life. Most young black men don't have a successful black male to look up to so they find a role model in athletes, rappers, and any entertainer they like. The problem with this, is most of those young black males can’t perform the task of their male role models and end up not becoming like their heroes. After a realization of not being able to follow in their role models’ footsteps they end up looking for another way to have all of the things people want in life, a big house, luxury cars, and a bottomless back account. John Corey goes on to find success in his life without being an entertainer or having an athletic bone in his body and spreads his message to young people of all races that they can become highly successful by finding their path in life.
