This book is about the life and times of ‘Jamal Dewar’ Better known as ‘Capital STEEZ’. Capital STEEZ was born on the 7th of July, 1993 and died on the 23rd Of December, 2012 to Jamaican parents but he was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Capital STEEZ was an American rapper, who also found and formed the Brooklyn-rap collective called ‘Pro Era’, and he also created a Movement of three main groups, namely, The Underachievers, Pro Era and Flatbush Zombies.
Capital STEEZ was a very powerful rapper in my generation; his music was eye-opening and full of strong message for the people, he believed in so many things especially on the spiritual side of life, he believed that we are brainwashed and we should be open minded. There are so many great teachings he left in this world that we all should learn, STEEZ taught us that the materialistic way of life will never give us any happiness only miseries and illusions thus you see every day we kill for money and compromise so much for money and the materials. He was a spiritually conscious rapper who was very much awakened at a young age. STEEZ wanted the people to be free from mental slaveries and illusions that we are into, he wanted us to know that we have a purpose in life and we should look for our purpose in life instead of living in the circle of ‘eating-sleeping-mating-entertainment-work’ and repeat, he believed that individually we have a purpose of being in this planet and we are delayed and bewildered by the material possessions or the material world.
To me, Capital STEEZ was a prophet in music, he was a spiritual teacher in music, he wasn't just a rapper or someone who is obsessed with occultism and the number 47, he was awakened and he could see the world within and the world around him or us, that’s why he kept on saying things that people do not understand and knowledge that was surprise to us because he was enlightened and could see things. His spiritual eyes were too much alert. He didn't make music for us to just dance to it but he made music for us to learn from it, he also taught us that the youth is being killed earlier by these deceitful systems that are created for the people, on his Mixtape ‘AmeriKKKan Korruption’, he revealed so many hidden truths and the deceiving ways of this world. STEEZ said that we are spirit souls and we cannot survive if we build up our lives to have material things because they will only deceive us and defeat us in the end, he believed that we should build up our lives to have things that will satisfy our needs and material things cannot satisfy our needs, he taught us that the fundamental needs of every human being is love, peace, bliss and eternity and material things are against that that’s why we kill each other to have them because they have closed us in a illusions and mental slavery to make us believe that it is the way of life so that we cannot realize our real purpose of been in this world. STEEZ explained so many things that are killing us as the people, he believed in solving and that we should solve, if we ever want to. His life was very short even his discography is very small but within only two mixtapes, few singles and 19 years of life he managed to teach us so many great things.
I have compiled at least everything that he taught me that I wish we could all learn, and of course about his life and times but most of all, this manuscript is about his knowledge and message.
