Morning Star (1910)
"A royal prince faces many extreme challenges to win the throne and the heart of his beloved."--Haggard H. Rider: Finished

Nada the Lily (1892)
The writer of this romance has been encouraged to his task by a purpose somewhat beyond that of setting out a wild tale of savage life. When he was yet a lad,--now some seventeen years ago,--fortune took him to South Africa. There he was thrown in with men who, for thirty or forty years, had been intimately acquainted with the Zulu people, with their history, their heroes, and their customs. From these he heard many tales and traditions, some of which, perhaps, are rarely told nowadays, and in time to come may cease to be told altogether. Then the Zulus were still a nation; now that nation has been destroyed, and the chief aim of its white rulers is to root out the warlike spirit for which it was remarkable, and to replace it by a spirit of peaceful progress.

Pearl-Maiden (1901)
The story of Miriam, a young Christian woman living in the Roman Empire during the first century, and Marcus, the Roman officer who desired to win her hand.

The People of the Mist (1894)
"Penniless Leonard Outram attempts to redress the undeserved loss of his family estates and fiancee by seeking his fortune in Africa. In the course of his adventures he and his Zulu companion Otter save a young Portuguese woman, Juanna Rodd, together with her nursemaid Soa, from slavery. Leonard and Juanna are plainly attracted to each other, but prone to bickering, and their romance is impeded by the watchful and jealous Soa. The protagonists seek the legendary People of the Mist, said to possess a fabulous hoard of jewels. Finding them, they immediately become embroiled in the turbulent political affairs of the lost race, which is riven by a power-struggle between the monarch and the priesthood of its giant crocodile god."

Queen Sheba's Ring (1910)
"Queen Sheba's Ring" features Middle-Eastern mysticism and a secret society descended form ancient abyssinians. In deepest uncharted regions of Africa a Jewish community struggles to defend itself from barbaric tribes.

Red Eve (1911)
In this tale of the Middle Ages, Rider Haggard has given us a picture in his vivid and striking way of the days when feudalism was in the land and every man held his life and love in the strength of his sword arm.

Swallow (1898)
The story of a Dutch girl raised among the Kaffirs, who dreams of a brother -- and soon finds herself face-to-face with a shipwrecked young boy!

The Virgin Of The Sun (1922)
A vivid picture of a bygone civilization shown in the dramatic adventures of Hubert of Hastings, a subject of Richard II, whom adverse fortune shipwrecked on the shores of Peru.

The Wanderer's Necklace (1914)
Olaf a Northman, at a taunt from his betrothed, enters the haunted "Wanderer's tomb" to find a wonderful necklace and sword. Then he dreams himself the Wanderer, falls in love with the dream wearer of the necklace, and, after a feud which comes from the elopement of his betrothed, he journeys to Byzantium to find the reincarnation of his lady of the necklace, much peril, but final happiness.

The Way Of The Spirit (1905)
A story of love, pain, the supernatural, and a love that survives the grave.

When the World Shook (1918)
A fantastic tale of spirit travel, reincarnation, mystical powers, teleportation, subterranean city... and the elixir of life!

The World's Desire (1890)
The story of the hero Odysseus after his untold second journey. Returning to his home, Ithaca, the region ravaged by a plague, his wife Penelope seemingly slain, Odysseus begins his final quest.

The Yellow God (1908)
"All Mr. Haggard's old and tried materials are here: the previously unexplored region of Africa, the magnificent savage inhabitants, the beautiful immortal who falls in love with the manly British hero,
