The construction industry which has also given birth to other industries such as the manufacturing industry and offshore industry has seen various been affected by health challenges. This book x-rayed are the potential biohazards that affect the workers in construction. Also the results in this book were based on a comprehensive study carried out in a developing economy. It revealed that fewer percentage undergo routine check-up as well as little or no insurance policies in almost all the sampled construction industry. Also, there are no thorough personal and family medical history and this is not encouraging. This is true as the level of health in developed nations is better than that in both transition nations and in developing nations, and as such also have better control of biological hazards. Recommendations are made which are in line current practices as in OHSAS and HSE standards work place places. Also looked at briefly is how climate change affects us, but details of that is in the new book by the author.
