I wrote a collection of poems which was made into a book entitled "Parkinson's, shaken, not stirred". The response I received from writing so openly about living with Parkinson's was overwhelming, and I decided to write a daily blog, talking candidly and honestly I hope I have helped in some small way, so that sufferers and caregivers realise they are not alone. Keeping positive, and with a sense of humour, I hope and pray that a cure is not too far away. My intention has been to reach those who for whatever reason are not able, or do not have access to join a support group. Knowing you are not alone in your daily struggles with a debilitating disease is important. The feedback I have received has been tremendous, touching on every topic imaginable relating to living with Parkinson's. I started writing my blog on 6th September 2011, and to mark an entire year of blogging, I decided to put all the entries together as a book which everyone can download for FREE. Sharing and spreading the word hopefully will bring greater awareness.
