What if John Lennon had not been killed in 1980? How would his life have evolved?
This story imagines the possibilities of a world where John is alive. It is set in 1997; John has been living safe and well in a parallel universe, but finds himself transported to this world where he learns that he has been dead for the past seventeen years. His initial attempts to establish his identity lead to his incarceration in a mental hospital where he is heavily medicated.
He eventually escapes and meets Maria. She offers him shelter and support as he grieves for the life he has been torn from and while he sets about reconnecting with family, friends and the public in this world.
This is a story about love and loss and what might have been.
