We've had police stories, hospital, detective and other trade stories but, until this book, there have been no estate agent tales.

It begins with a Christian National Serviceman in Malaya killing two communists in the jungle, continues with life after D (Demob?) and, to make it all things to all readers, there is a chic-lit chapter and he falls in love. Thereafter chapters are of anecdotes telling of house buyers and sellers, landlords and tenants. Did they fight? I've known 2 or 3 and write of 1. He did what local lads do. He sailed from the beach and later had a fantasy adventure in the Aegean, which resulted in the building of a Rig in advance of any yet. They become stranded on the Goodwin Sands and propose exploration with figre optics, which are made in Southend to look for Galleons. Our hero ends with anecdotes of his work as a chartered building surveyor.

It is essential reading for Estate Agents and thoes in Conveyancing and resulting occupations, for we who are interested in what and how we live, for Yachtsmen and those who use or manufacture fibre optic tubes and for those who like to chuckle over old cars. Once you've read it, you'll read it again...........
