Jack Lord got a message from the local Police Chief, William (Bill) Smart. We have some problems, and we are in need of your help. Jack Lord a previous federal agent, had to leave his employment when a newspaper put his picture on the front page. Started to work as a private Investigator together with his assistant Belle. What seems to be the trouble Bill, he asked. We are swamped with a serial killer. There have been thirteen homicides, all on a weekend, and in thirteen different cities here in Florida. The state government asked me to contact you, Jack, to arrest this weekend assassin. Should I take Belle with me and come down to your office? Yeah, Jack in the morning if you can. A neighbor to Jack, that worked on the same floor, a Miss Julia knocked on the door and asked if Jack had had his breakfast. Yeah, Julia but another cup will sit well anyway. Julia looked at a map Jack and Belle had sat up and asked what it was for. On each of those pins, there has been a murder. Thirteen homicides in thirteen different cities. Well on this pin, said Julia, I visited a craft show and bought three blouses. The craft-shows travel all over Florida, and only on weekends. Jack had to phone the police chief and tell him about the craft-shows possibility. Must be it, said Bill, and put all his men on the job of checking every craft show this year. It fitted perfectly with the homicides, and as the next craft-show where to be at Winter Haven, Bill put his men to check out how they could be there in Polk County. With an okay from the local police, and from the show's promoter, the police, Jack, Belle, as well as Julia, went to see if the police could catch the criminal. They found out who this assassin that had killed thirteen people earlier, now succeeded to kill the last person on the killers' list. The identity of the killer was a chock for both Jack Lord and the police chief.
