Having spent two days in Montana, Alex decided it was time to shake off the cold mountain feeling and head on her way to a better adventure. Her tourist map had described this place as nature’s haven but there was nothing remotely exotic about pine trees and over priced home made ice-cream. This was not the excitement she craved.
She had taken time off from her Realtor job to unwind. She had sold her Camry for a Class C Campervan. Granted it was a little beaten up, with no state of the art GPS or even a built in toilet and shower, but it was perfect for her to travel cross country and really experience the scenery instead of hassling through hotels.
Although she had planned to spend three days in the mountains, she decided there was nothing there to see and besides, if she headed down a day early, she will be able to make it somewhere across the country. It was about 5:30 pm when Alex decided it was ok to pull over somewhere to take a shower. She had spent the day hiking and was exhausted and feeling horribly icky. As she drove along the mountain road, she saw a clearing where she could park comfortable and do her business quickly and inconspicuously. It was a very lush field, with a river down below the hill and couple metres away a few cows lazing around. She decided she should be quick about it since this was not a camp ground.
