The second of Klougart's novels to be shortlisted for the Nordic Council Literature Prize, One of Us Is Sleeping was also shortlisted for the Readers' Award and was a best-seller in Denmark.

Deep Vellum will be bringing out another of Klougart's novels in 2017.

This is the second title to be released in Open Letter's "Danish Women Writers Series" (Rock, Paper, Scissors by Naja Marie Aidt was the first), which is funded by the Danish Arts Council and includes additional marketing money to promote these titles.

Klougart will be touring the U.S. in support of this novel, and already has started builing a fanbase, thanks to excerpts of her work that have appeared in Asymptote, World Literature Today, and elsewhere.

A mix of poetry, fiction, and essay, her writing has been compared to that of Joan Didion, Anne Carson, and Virginia Woolf.
