Poetry: The Epitome of Life and Hope presents a touching collection of poetry that explores four vital themes: life, love, hope, and struggle. In these verses, author Dominique Wrizile explores the mutability of the human condition through often wistful language and philosophical mediations. Exploring both the challenges of seemingly insurmountable obstacles and the courage needed to move ahead, Wriziles poetry is emotional and inspiring.

The poems in Poetry: The Epitome of Life and Hope explore the story of a young man whose origins on one continent enhance his current existence on another. Through his poetry, we come to understand the struggles and challenges that have brought him to the place where he is today.

Courage

So far, so good.

The storm blew, but I stood,

holding on the best I could.

The imperfection I conquered;

in my eyes it seemed impossible,

but a man in the mirror said I was capable

and now I can see the walk is walkable.

Hope was the key.

Determination led the way.

Courage was the horizon.

Patience made me stay.

Hope is the best thing;

without it I could do nothing.

Even when it was troubling,

because of hope I was smiling.

A person without hope is like a ship without a compass.

I am glad hope found me;

otherwise, I would not be here.
