In France, Poodles were used as a water retriever. Do you know what this means? The name rather gives it away. This breed was used to “retrieve” objects in the water. For example: When prey fell into the water, the Poodle would return the prey to their owner without damaging it. However, as years went by France loved the breed so much it didn’t take long for the Poodle to become its national breed.
Today, we see Poodles in a lovable light. These elegant creatures are a wonderful example of nature’s diversity and beauty. With intelligent minds and good looks, Poodles have become a part of many homes and hearts.
