Stalked and scared, Anna still balked at Shane's suggestion to move back to their hometown where her brother and his biker gang could look after her. She had a job and after all, how long should she stay low and keep looking over her shoulder? A compromise was made and Anna found herself living together with Shane's newest recruit, Caleb. Nothing could happen when there's a strong young man in the house, right? Nothing could happen even when she found herself fantasizing about Caleb...
_____
I moved to get off the bed and jumped when another thunder broke, pretty close to the window it seemed and I felt both his arms around me now, pulling me to his chest.
My heart pounding, I buried my head on the crook of his neck, inhaling the sweet, sweet scent of his body while my hands, small against him, hung on to his broad shoulder.
His breath was not so steady now and I stole a look, noticing that he was keeping his eyes closed, his thick lashes dark on his cheeks. Emboldened, I snuggled closer, my hands relishing the feel of his chest. My hair caressed his skin and I realized he was holding his breath.
When another thunder crackled outside, not so close or too loud, I used it to pull him even closer, heat flooding my cheeks when I pushed all of my softness up against his solid chest.
"Anna..." his voice was hoarse and I could feel his heart pounding under my hand.
"Don't tell me to go," I whispered.
"You don't know what you're saying," he said, his eyes still closed.
"Cal..."
I gasped when he rolled on top of me, his hands gripping my wrists.
"You don't know what you're telling me."
I felt a lump stuck in my throat when I saw his eyes. "I... I do."
"You don't know what I want to do with you."
Seeing the flash in his eyes, my mouth turned dry and I tried licking it. "You can... you can do anything."
