“I can’t believe we only have tonight until you have to leave tomorrow morning, it feels like you just got here!” Jenna exclaimed, her green eyes glistening with unshed tears as she laid her head down on Tyler’s left shoulder. Tyler sighed and stroked her wavy brown hair, running his fingers through the soft locks as he replied, “I know Jenna, I hate that we live so far apart, it hurts me too. Hopefully someday soon we will be able to find a home together, it’s just with the way my work schedule is and the little time I have to take off…” Jenna reached up and stroked her palm across his stubbled cheek and said, “I know honey, I don’t blame you for anything. I am just impatient I suppose. I wish everything would fall together much more quickly but I can be patient for us.”
After more failed dates than Jenna cared to recollect she had finally given in to the insistent pestering of her best friend and signed up for online dating. To her delight she had met another mutually frustrated dater in Tyler, and although they lived states apart they had formed a mutual attraction to each other. Jenna loved their nightly skype sessions and numerous emails and texts they sent to each other day after day, but what she wanted most was to be able to make up every morning next to the man she loved. She knew that Tyler felt the same way that she did and that it was just as hard on him when they did manage to meet in person for a limited amount of time, but she could not help but feel disappointed each time they had to go their separate ways.
