For me this means that learners are given the opportunity to find out or develop their personal interests by reading a variety of different novels, poems or plays (including various themes, suspense, creative language use etc.). The following work plan is intended for a 5th form of grammar school and consists of four interconnected lessons revolving around the novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
