Our ancestors walked out of Africa 85,000 years ago.   They lived for a time in the Garden of Eden, now under the waters of the Persian Gulf, and arrived in Australia via South India 20,000 years later.  Indigenous people from Central Australia still speak the same language as their ancestors spoke in the Garden of Eden.  But something mysterious happened on the Plain of Shinar, after the Biblical flood had wiped out the Garden of Eden and the survivors had moved upstream to present day Iraq.   There was a shift in thinking associated with an increasing use of the brain's left cerebral hemisphere in human communication, where numbers became more important than people, where material possessions and personal power became became more important than spirituality.   Meanwhile the ancestors of the Australian aboriginal people maintained their Garden of Eden thinking and their right cerebral hemisphere language, and lived in splendid isolation for 65,000 years.  This book includes a grammar and dictionary of an Australian indigenous language called Modern Murri, synthesized by the author from a large number of indigenous word lists, for the use of people living in south-east Queensland.  The reader is given an opportunity to understand how Australian aboriginal words came about, and to experience the pure pleasure of speaking a language full of poetry and emotion that characterizes more than 300 Australian indigenous languages.
