The jokes in this book are the jokes that were told on Saturday nights in our prison camp during our Saturday night pizza party. Several of the guys would cook up five large pizzas in the camp microwaves and a bunch of us would sit around telling jokes and eating pizza for an hour or so. It was one of the few times during the week everyone could get a good laugh and the laugh was guaranteed. A federal prison camp is much, much different than a federal prison. There are no prison guards, bob wire fences, cell blocks or locked doors in a prison camp. It's pretty much open. A prisoner could walk away any time if they wanted. A hundred of us men lived in a barracks like setting, and could go outside and roam around the grounds almost any time of the day or night. We had a regular sized baseball field and foot ball field in our back yard along with six basketball courts, a handball court, botchy, and a horse shoe pit. In a lot of ways the prison camp was a big joke since there was no security. However no one would skip out because they knew what would happen if they did. They'd get caught and would then get sent to the real place.
