Henry VIII (1491-1547) was a King Of England, the second ruler of the Tudor dynasty. Henry was gifted and well-educated but rather fierce to his political opponents. Anne Boleyn (1507-1536) was the second wife of Henry VIII and the mother of Elizabeth I. Anne was brought up in a wealthy but not very noble family. She was educated by good tutors, but her father wanted more for her and sent her to France. On arriving from France Anne became quite popular in the English court as she was rather smart and elegant, although not realy beautiful. Eventually she got the King's attention. Henry VIII was so fascinated by her charms that he divorced his legal queen and broke up with the Catholic Church. This book represents a collection of the letter exchange between Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn.
