As the title may suggest, the number 'four' is of prime importance in the book, and although the author does not follow a numerology based concept, it's certainly the essence driving the book’s content. Paul enters into the theme of humanity's endless quest for a fifth element (The Holy Grail, The Philosopher's Stone, The Emerald Tablet), and that the reason we have not yet attained that level is because this quintessential 'fifth plane' can only be created or emerge when we first focus on bringing together the 'four' intrinsic parts of our being.
Paul's language is clear and concise. He explores the sensitive and burning topic of 'four' forming the foundation of patterns and phenomena, past, present and future, with a variety of examples from nature, science, time, esotericism, ancient culture and humanity. His message is that we are now at the stage where we must search for this fourth component.
