“Yes.” Gabe looks distraught at this news, so much so that Azgaroth adds, “If it helps, the amount of torment and pain is variable, and can be assigned depending on where you fall on the scales of goodness and evil. The more spotted it is—the farther you deviate from the path of creation and the more you celebrate destruction—that determines how much agony you suffer.” Gabe has a frightened look about him as he contemplates this. Melinda reaches across the seat and takes Gabe’s hand. “Love creates,” she says, trying to break him out of this funk.
