Inspired by the Tea Party rant of Rick Santelli on CNBC, I decided to find my own bailout. Unable to qualify for any of the numerous government bailouts, I looked into foreclosed properties and purchased two at bargain prices.
The building on the cover is a condo complex in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Units sold for $150,000 five years ago. I purchased my unit from Fannie Mae for only $24,000! The total renovation cost $5,200. Other units in the complex are selling for at least $50,000.
