Approximately 1 in 5 residents in Montgomery County, Ohio are living in poverty according to Census statistics. This statistic is just one of the many reasons we have decided to tackle the poverty that is affecting so many in the Dayton area. Poverty can stem from a variety of reasons, such as mental health, education, job loss, and more. We are going beyond the numbers and taking a deeper look at the faces of poverty. We are telling their stories. We are giving them a voice.

Our mission is to shed light on the overwhelming poverty affecting nearly 100,000 Montgomery County residents. Through personal stories and experiences we are raising awareness to those affected by poverty and the organizations dedicated to alleviating poverty in the Dayton area.
