Part 1. A genealogy of some of the descendants of William Owen (1611-1702) and Elizabeth Davis (1629-1702) who came from England to Massachusetts and were married in Braintree, MA, 29 JUL 1650. Their children were: Daniel Owen (b.1 AUG 1651; buried on 14 AUG 1651); Deliverance Owen (1654-1715) who married (1) John Eddy (2) John Paddock; and (3) Nathaniel Smith; Nathaniel Owen (1656-1733) who married Mary Gaylord; Ebenezer Owen, born 1 MAR 1657 who married Hannah Belcher; Daniel Owen (second of this name; b.23 NOV1659) who married Hannah Lincoln; Josiah Owen (1667-1746) who married Hannah Belcher Owen, and Obadiah Owen, born 1 DEC 1670. Many of these children have been traced to the present day.

One noted descendant is Millard Fillmore, 13th President of the United States. Another notable descendant is Richard Lighthouse.

An alphabetical list of these descendants has been compiled and is available free online. It is also included in the Index herein.

This family history is lovingly dedicated to my Mother, Clara Gerald Owen Venable, my grandfather, George Henry Owen, my great-grandfather, Dr. Pascal Harrison Owen, my great-great grandfather, Col. Lewis Owen, and all their OWEN ancestors, as well as all my OWEN cousins everywhere.

The author gratefully acknowledges cousins, both close and distant ones, as well as others who were kind enough to share information to be included in this compilation. Most of them are mentioned in footnotes. I wish to let anyone who was a source and who has been omitted know that such omission was not intentional but simply an oversight.
