“Now, tell us what you remember,” Phiip said.
“That’s just it,” Audrina snapped. “I already said that I don’t remember anything. The last thing I remember is talking to you all at the bar and you got that phone call that said your house was on fire. Then you and Emilia left. I still felt as if someone was watching me, but Kayden stayed with me and talked to me. That’s all I remember. I have no idea how I got out into that alley. By the way, where is Kayden?”
“We don’t know,” Emilia said as she chewed at her bottom lip. “We haven’t seen him since we’ve been back.”
“Audrina,” said Philip. “Did he do something to you?”
“I wish I could answer that,” she replied. “I don’t think he did, but why was I out in the alley and where has he gone?”
“Well, it sounds really fishy to me,” Philip huffed. “He probably put you out there for some reason.”
“But that’s just it,” Audrina said. “Why would he take me out to the alley and then just vanish? He had no reason to do that.”
