Four Sundays Ago in Paris brings back the street-smart, sexy, securities attorney, Susanna Sloane.  Recently divorced from the Secretary of the Treasury Roger Howell, while in Paris on business she begins an affair with Jean-Paul Dillman, the President of the European Union.
At a reception at the Elysée Palace, she is approached by the Russian Finance Minister.  He asks that she travel to Moscow to help solidify an oil pipeline proposal between Russia and the United States.
Unexpectedly, her ex-husband joins her, and together they begin negotiations.  But her lover appears representing the EU, and along with the Russians they board an ice breaker on the Arctic Ocean to view potential pipeline routes.
After a night of drinking, the ‘man overboard’ siren sounds.  Dillman has disappeared!
Was it an accident, murder, or could he still be alive?  Satellite photos reveal nothing.
The Russians launch an inquest.  Without a body their findings are inconclusive.  The European Union suspects foul play by the Russians.  But the international press insinuates that a love triangle was the cause, and Susanna and Howell are excoriated.
