If an astronaut were ever to corroborate an aspect of my writings, I would have expected it to be in regard to planetary matters. Surprisingly, such a corroboration concerns, of all things, the Olmecs of ancient Mexico.
Long John Nebel, The nickname "Long John Nebel" had several sources: "Long John" was a nickname for his tall, slender build (he stood 6'4" and never weighed more than about 160 pounds), and Nebel was adapted from his stepmother's surname, Knebel (born John Zimmerman) (June 11, 1911 – April 10, 1978) was an influential New York City talk radio show host.
The following is from "Long" John Nebel's article "Contactees I Have Known" published in 1968 in "TRUE Report on Flying Saucers." Nebel was the long-time host of the Long John Nebel Show on WNBC Radio in New York.
Otis became acquainted with the reclusive Nikola Tesla at the hotel where he resided. Tesla loved to feed the pigeons in New Yorks' Central Park and one day instructed Otis, then studying art and working in the hotel, to buy two kilos of unsalted peanuts as pigeon food for him.
