Beatrice had been thinking. "I cannot keep living of my friends any longer. I have to get myself a husband, or a provider, whomever comes first." She decided to go to the Opera house, as they was showing something she would love to see. Coming to the opera, she went to the lounge, for a cup of coffee. There were some gentlemen sitting there, and Beatrice sat herself not too close, but not too far away either. One of the gentlemen spoke to her, and asked for her name. Beatrice obliged, and asked for this gentleman's name. "Oh I'm so sorry," he said. "I am Count Drake, to your service tonight, and always." "This is the one," Beatrice thought, and for some reason none of them saw the opera performance. Count Drake and Beatrice finished up at the Grand. Where they spent most of the day, then they finished up at the Counts estate. The following day Drake said he had a lunch date with the Prince, and wanted to know if Beatrice would like to join. Prince Philip was as taken by Beatrice as Drake was, and took over the conversation. Count Drake could see that this lady was being stolen from him, and decided for vengeance. He called a friend, John Gable, a private detective. Then later he had the prince kidnapped, before the two decided that they should let Beatrice la Fleur decide. Meeting her at the Grand, Count Drake, and the Prince asked if it would be possible for her to decide where she would prefer to live. "I would prefer to live one month at the castle, then one month at The Counts estate, and so on. Could you gentlemen accept such and arrangement? So it come to be, Beatrice each month moved from one to the other, and she was the winner, as the two, both, tried to outdo the other.
